    I added some assasin snails to my tank , they are burrowing in the sand tonight. Does anyone know what this means???? These are new to me.Are they searching food or laying eggs ,all three are doing it at the same time.....so strange.. Question

    Well, all the I know is that snails do burrow, and that assassin snails will burrow just enough to cover their body and shell. Other snails such as the MTS will burrow much farther. I wouldn't be worried, because I guess that it is just like dogs digging in mud.

    after watching them I think they may have been sleeping protected with the snorkel sticking out only. All the soft parts in the sand. Very intresting behavior
